ObjectDock
The ObjectDock program comes in a
free
version and a
commercial version. The big difference
is that the commercial program has "tabbed" docks. I
find the commercial version of this program to be a great
productivity enhancement for Windows. When you click
on the 'Start' menu, then program files, then the directory,
you are already three clicks deep. With the free
version of ObjectDock, all the icons are available as soon
as you mouse over them. The only drawback is that you
are pretty much limited by the width of your monitor, as to
how many icons you can have. With the tabbed dock, you
can have as many icons as the free version times the number
of tabs you can fit into the width of your monitor.
This makes any program in the dock, never more than two
clicks away. I personally use a normal dock (like the
free one) for the programs I use most. I have it
autohide at the bottom of my primary monitor. Thus my
most used programs are always one click away. I have
all of the rest of my programs in a tabbed dock at the
bottom of the secondary monitor.
